Campus flags lowered Sept. 9 in memory of Paul Bates

On Friday September 9, 2022, the flags will be at half-mast in memory of Paul Bates, a distinguished business leader and the dean of the DeGroote School of Business from 2004 to 2010.

Paul is remembered as a man whose thoughtful approach created community, and as a visionary leader who transformed the School of Business with his many contributions.

Paul’s connection with students reverberated from their academic time at DeGroote and their transition to members of the alumni community. He made an impact on the students who had the fortune to call him their dean.

The School as we know it today benefitted deeply from his vision, commitments and contributions.
