C.B. Brink to lecture on campus Thursday


On Thursday evening, renowned educator and molecular pharmacologist C. B. Brink will deliver a lecture on campus, “Teaching with Technology in the African Context.”

A professor of pharmacology at North-West University in South Africa, Brink is the recipient of the 2012 Howard Barrows Award. The award was established by McMaster University in recognition of the former faculty member’s significant contributions to the education of health professionals.

Brink is also Chair of the Teaching Section of the International Union of Pharmacology, and Vice-President of the South African Society for Basic and Clinical Pharmacology, among other duties.

The lecture will take place Thursday, Nov. 8 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the Michael G. DeGroote Centre for Learning and Discovery, Room 3020. Reception to follow in the University Club.
