Bus pull benefiting United Way Oct. 1

The McMaster United Way Campaign and the McMaster Healthy Workplace Campaign are holding the first ever McMaster Bus Pull on Wednesday October 1, 2014. This is a ‘rain or shine event’ and will take place in front of the Burke Science Building from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Teams of staff, faculty and students will compete in the Bus Pull Event for the fastest pull. Prizes will also be awarded for the teams with the biggest cheering section, most team spirit and most money raised. All proceeds from this event will be going to the United Way of Burlington and Greater Hamilton, as part of the kickoff for McMaster’s 2014-2015 campaign with a goal of raising $300,000.

The Bus Pull Event is one of the activities taking place as part of the Fall Fair in support of The United Way, hosted by both the Healthy Workplace and United Way Committees. On the day of the event a corn roast, games and draws will also be taking place on the green space in front of the Burke Science Building.
