Building temperature systems being prepared for heating

It’s that time of year again – seasons are changing and temperatures are getting colder.

Utilities Services is responsible for switching building temperature systems from cooling to heating in preparation for the fall and winter seasons. There are approximately 180 building systems on campus that will need to be switched over, and this is a long process to complete.

Utilities Services monitors the long-range forecast and tries to prolong the switch over to heating for as long as possible, in order to prevent buildings from overheating on warm days.

Utilities Services is currently preparing systems for heating, and the final switch over will occur when temperatures permit. If you have any concerns about your building change over timing, please email the UCC Response Team.
