AVP Facilities accepts new role at University of Illinois

Mohamed Attalla, McMaster AVP and Chief Facilities Officer has been appointed Executive Director of Facilities and Services at the University of Illinois.

His last day at McMaster will be August 15, 2018.

“During Mohamed’s seven years with McMaster, Facility Services has progressed greatly on its commitment to provide an environment that promotes and enables learning, research and community engagement,” said Roger Couldrey, Vice President, Administration. “We wish him continued success at the University of Illinois.”

Planning is underway in advance of a search for the next AVP and Chief Facilities Officer.

In the interim, Craig MacDonald, Executive Director, Facilities Operations will lead the key functions within Facilities including Engineering Operations, Energy Management, Maintenance, Custodial Services and IT. The Design and Construction team will continue to report directly to Ehab Kamarah, and the Security and Parking function will continue to report directly to Glenn DeCaire.
