Amateur artists needed for graduate student exhibition

McMaster graduate students are invited to flex their creative muscles — using visual, audio or written mediums — at the upcoming Graduate Student Amateur Arts Exhibition, July 21-24.

The exhibition is an opportunity for graduate students to inspire the broader McMaster community through an exhibit highlighting complementary creative practices of their graduate work.

Graduate students are welcome to contribute work in:

  • Visual arts
  • Poetry
  • Short fiction and non-fiction
  • Acoustic music
  • Short theatrical productions
  • Short films

Masters and doctoral students interested in contributing to the exhibit should email Irena Radisevic at radisei@mcmaster.ca. Include 1-2 sentences describing your graduate research plus two or three images or examples of your art — cell phone pictures will work.

Submissions are due Friday, June 26.

The exhibition is part of the Year of Creativity, a collaborative project between McMaster Museum of Art and the School of Graduate Studies, and supported through Forward with Integrity.
