‘Afrocentric Ideals’ coming to Bridges Café on Wednesday

Afrocentric Ideals is a platform designed to bridge the gap between scholarly and artistic thought, while providing an alternative narrative on the stories of various African peoples and those living in the diaspora.

It provides students with an avenue to share and express their African-centred ideas, while challenging themselves academically and creatively.

By sharing stories, critically analyzing culture and societal constructs, Afrocentric Ideals provides a unique space for social commentary. Everyone in the community is welcome to attend and share perspectives on issues being addressed at the event.

The event will take place at Bridges Café on Wednesday, Nov. 12 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
