Acting Vice-President Research

The search for McMaster’s next vice-president (Research) is underway. The selection committee is continuing to work over the summer with a view to making an appointment as early in the Fall as possible. In the meantime,  Allison Sekuler, the associate vice-president and dean of Graduate Studies will serve as acting vice-president (Research). Since this will leave a vacancy in the School of Graduate Studies, Doug Welch has  agreed to serve as acting AVP and dean of Graduate Studies. Both appointments take effect  July 1, 2015. Allison and Doug have both served in these roles before and bring with them a wealth of administrative experience. Further updates regarding the work of the Selection Committee for a Vice-President (Research) will be provided as the search progresses.
