2013 Leadership Summit for Women

Ontario premier Kathleen Wynne will deliver a keynote address at the 2013 Leadership Summit for Women, taking place in the McMaster University Student Centre on Saturday.

The day-long affair will provide the space, skills and support for all participants — regardless of gender— to reach their full potential as individuals and as collaborative members of a community. Participants in the Leadership Summit for Women are catalysts driving the creation of a more just and equitable society.

Kim Crosby, an anti-racism activist and multi-disciplinary educator, will also deliver a keynote speech.

After students have attended the Leadership Summit, they may choose submit a written, audio or visual entry into their Learning Portfolio that addresses the following questions: What was the most important part of this day for me? How has this event helped me to move closer my learning goals? What will I change based on what I learned from this summit? Through my words and actions, how can I address structural barriers that prevent diverse populations from pursuing positions of leadership, power and influence?
