Bourns lecture will challenge nature

He's clashed with Stephen Colbert, chatted with Charlie Rose and talked to TIME magazine about genetic engineering. Lee Silver has appeared in all matter of media, but on Wednesday night (November 26) the Princeton professor will be in our city to deliver this year's Bourns Lecture in Bioethics titled, "Challenging nature: genetic engineering, cloning and the future of the human species."

Scientists to network for better heart health

Today, McMaster University announced the funding of a new research chair that will revolutionize the way we look at heart disease in Ontario. At an event being held at McMaster today, Dr. Sonia Anand is to be announced as the inaugural chair holder of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario/Michael G. DeGroote Chair in Population Health Research at McMaster University.
