#MyDayAtMac: Your photo could be featured online and in print
Send us your photos of a day at McMaster Jan. 29 and you could be featured online and in the next issue of the McMaster Times alumni magazine.
On Wednesday, January 29, be sure to take part in #MyDayAtMac – a call for photos from the entire McMaster community.
We’re looking for photos that show your unique day at McMaster. That could include studying in your special nook, volunteering in the community, hiking in Cootes Paradise, or taking part in an exchange abroad.
Everyone in the University community – students, staff, faculty, alumni, friends – are encouraged to submit a photo that shows their special moment, no matter where they are.
Hashtag your Facebook, Twitter or Instagram photos with #MyDayAtMac (or email them to daily@mcmaster.ca) and we’ll show them off to the world.
The best photos will be published in the next issue of the McMaster Times alumni magazine. The photo essay will showcase how McMaster is making a difference every day – on campus, in our community and around the world.
Tips for taking great smartphone photos for #MyDayAtMac:
• Don’t zoom – it will degrade the quality of your shot
• Reconsider using the flash – it often just washes out your subject
• Remember to tap for focus
• Use natural light to your advantage, and watch for shadows
• Keep your photos appropriate, and make sure the people in them are OK with you taking their picture
