Photo by Martin Wissenz.”]The Bachelor of Technology program, a Faculty of Engineering and Mohawk College joint venture, received a $120,000-boost from their recent partnership with the Woodbridge Group. This contribution will enable the establishment of The Woodbridge Group Industrial Lectureship.

The Woodbridge Group Industrial Lectureship will allow industry specialists to bring relevant and advanced expertise and experience in industrial knowledge to the classroom. The Lectureship will ensure that students have the best possible understanding and skills for their careers. The industrial lecturer will be vital for
B.Tech. programs in Manufacturing Engineering Technology and Automotive & Vehicle Technology.

The B.Tech. program was designed to expand opportunities for students to attain technological education leading to a degree. The skills and experiences that graduates gain from this program will be of significant benefit to employers in industry, business and government as well as to the personal and professional development of the student.

“As the needs of industry change, the skills required from employees change,” said Art Heidebrecht, executive director of the Bachelor of Technology Partnership. “The Bachelor of Technology program addresses the need for an increasingly sophisticated technical employee. It also allows students enrolled in the program the opportunity to advance more quickly in their organizations.”
