What to expect at Homecoming 2015

There really is no place like Home(coming).

This year’s festivities run from Sept. 23 to 27 and include a football game, concert, on-campus expo and more.

Homecoming kicks of Wednesday with the McMaster Alumni Hamilton Community Impact Award luncheon.

This year’s winners, honoured for having a positive impact on the Hamilton community within the last three years, are Terry Cooke, Alyssa Lai, Andy Duncan and Curt Heckaman.

The Homecoming Expo will take place Sept. 25 between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. and will include food, a pep rally and more.

A concert with the Sheepdogs and the Elwins will follow at DBAC Sports Hall.

Saturday will include multiple residence open houses celebrating the 85th anniversary of Wallingford Hall and Edwards, as well as the 50th anniversary of Matthews and McKay.

Guest are invited to enjoy drop in residence tours and a BBQ luncheon on the lawn of the Burke Science Building.

On Sept. 26, the Marauders will host the York Lions in a football game at Ron Joyce Stadium. Kick off is at 1 p.m., and fans are invited to a free chilli lunch before the game at Marauders Plaza.
