Venture received the first-place Diamond rating for Summer Camps in the Best Entertainment/Sports category. It was up against several other area summer camps, which received Platinum through Honourable Mention awards.

This is the third year that the Reader's Choice Awards has been organized by Hamilton Community News, publisher of four community newspapers in the Hamilton area. The program offers a fun forum for residents to vote on-line for their favourite services, businesses and people.

Venture is a summer day camp for students in grades three to 10.
Activities are designed to blend engineering, science, computers and technology with hands-on experience and creative opportunities. Venture consists of two streams: Engineering and Science (for students entering grade 3 to grade 9) and Computers and Technology (for students entering grade 4 to grade 10). Camps are one week long and are offered during July and August.
