Undergraduate scholars who got a taste of research are ready to share their discoveries at the 2022 Undergraduate Student Research Awards Poster Session.

Undergraduate scholars are ready to share their discoveries — and their amazing summer experiences — at the 2022 Undergraduate Student Research Awards (USRA) Poster Session on Nov. 1.

The session highlights work done by USRA winners, who spent the summer working in labs, libraries and in the field. Their hands-on research experience gives them an opportunity to get a taste of what it is to be a graduate student researcher.

USRA recipients will share their research covering a broad range of topics, such as

  • impacts of the pandemic on refugee youth
  • the Indigenous population of ancient Sicily
  • the use of soybean oil and silicones in bio-based plastics
  • how bias influences the spread of misinformation

A full list of USRA presenters is available online.

The annual USRA Poster Session is open to all, in CIBC Hall  on the third floor of MUSC on Tuesday, Nov. 1, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
