Some 236 McMaster students managed to do a little trick or treating this past weekend, but the treats they were after weren't of the candied variety.
Nearly 4000 pounds of much-needed non-perishable food items were collected Sunday as part of McMaster's annual Trick or Eat campaign. Students dressed up and went door-to-door in the neighbourhoods surrounding the University collecting food, 90 per cent of which went to Living Rock Ministries, the rest going to the Mac Bread Bin.
More than $1,800 in online donations were also collected at trickoreat.ca.
Mac Bread Bin provides anonymous food assistance to students on campus. More information can be found here.
