McMaster continues to lead the country when it comes to satisfied students receiving high quality teaching and education, according to this year's Canadian University Report, published by the Globe and Mail newspaper.
McMaster ranks among the top schools in Canada for overall student satisfaction and quality of education. The Report, issued Monday, reflects the opinions of more than 35,000 undergraduate students from across the country who answered surveys on a variety of topics ranging from overall student satisfaction and quality of education to campus technology, environmental commitment and interaction with faculty.
McMaster also receives high marks for its buildings and facilities, atmosphere, food services and recreation and athletics programs.
“While surveys and rankings are snapshots of a particular moment in time, McMaster's sustained high placement in key areas like student satisfaction and quality of education is encouraging and reflects the efforts of faculty and staff to support students across the University,” said McMaster President Patrick Deane.
This year's report also provides featured rankings by field of study. McMaster ranks as a national leader in quality of education in engineering, sciences and math, health sciences and medicine, and business and commerce.
