Editor's note: The following story is entirely fictional.

Campus Security was called to Titles Bookstore today after the body of an employee was discovered before the store opened.

The victim, identified as bookstore operations manager Mark Lefebvre, was found under a pile of books, apparently the result of an accident. However, after a preliminary investigation, authorities are now classifying the incident as a homicide.

The sheer number of suspects — all with viable motives — have left investigators stymied. They are asking for your assistance to help solve the crime. Rewards will be given to the top three correct solutions.

To participate, simply pick up an investigation sheet at Titles Bookstore or download it from our website on Monday, Oct. 22.

A crime scene report, suspect profile sheets and other clues will be placed around the store between Oct. 22 and Oct. 30. Find the clues, record your solution on the investigation sheet and return it to the customer service desk at Titles by Oct. 30.

All entries will be entered into a draw to win a wide range of prizes.

During the investigation, Canadian mystery authors Jean Rae Baxter, John Lawrence Reynolds, Linwood Barclay, John Swan and Maureen Jennings will be at Titles to meet with customers and perhaps inspire your investigation skills with their own great mystery titles.
