Looking for quiet study spaces, stress relief or peer support? There are many people and places here to help you get through the final intense weeks of the term.

It’s the first day of exams here at McMaster. As you push through to the end of the 2022-23 school year, here are some resources and information to help you through the last few stressful weeks:

For starters, double-check your exam schedule: Go to Mosaic and select “My Exam Schedule” to confirm when and where to go.

If you need more dates or information, head to the Registrar Office’s website.

The library is extending its hours to offer students more space to study. Mills Learning Commons and Thode Library are both open 24/7 through the exam period.

The library is also holding an undergraduate drop-in session on Thursday April 20 to help students who are struggling with assignments or research.

Leaving campus in the evening and want someone to walk or bus home with? The Student Walk Home Attendant Team (SWHAT) can help. SWHAT is available Monday-Sunday from 7:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. until the end of April. To request a walk, call 905-525-9140 x27500.

The Student Wellness Centre offers exam tips and mental health supports, including counselling. The Centre is also running an Exam Wellness Challenge — all participants are eligible for a giveaway. Students can use the same form to sign up for daily mental health check-in text messages, whether or not they participate in the giveaway.

The Student Success Centre has a whole slate of resources to help students navigate exams and the end of term, with tips for asking smart questions, studying smarter, writing exams (including one specific to multiple-choice), information on study spaces and sessions.

Research shows staying active helps keep your mind sharp. So whether you work out or need yoga sessions for stress relief, the Pulse has what you need.

And finally, try to get enough rest, food and water. You can do this, Marauders!
