The spiralling cost of tuition has many students balancing books and jobs

Your son or daughter has always had good marks in high school and plans to go to university. You're pleased, proud — and downright nervous about how you will pay for it.
Economist Hugh Mackenzie, author of a new report called The Tuition Trap, says only about 15 per cent of families will qualify for grants introduced by the Ontario government in the May budget. The grants are available only to families with incomes below $35,000.
The Ontario government is looking at lifting the freeze on tuition fees next year.
