‘The letter that changed my life’

Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine student Ali Rendely tweeted this photo to Sports Illustrated reporter Richard Deitsch when he asked followers if they had a photograph of the best moment of their lives. The image is one of 22 featured on the popular news and blogging website BuzzFeed.

Very few people are lucky enough to have a photo of a life-changing moment.

But when Sports Illustrated reporter Richard Deitsch asked his Twitter followers for images of the “single best” moment of their lives, he was barraged with photos – including the one that changed Ali Rendely’s life.

The photo, below, is of Rendely opening the letter informing her that she had been accepted to medical school at McMaster’s Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine.

The photo is one of 22 featured on the popular news and blogging website BuzzFeed.
