Since 1997, the President's Awards have recognized and celebrated the outstanding work of more than 430 exceptional employees and team members who have contributed to the mission and success of McMaster University.

In his December announcement of the program, President Peter George said, “Most of us know employees who are consistently outstanding in their service, or innovation, or both; or, who repeatedly enhance our University's reputation through their outstanding work. Please help me to identify and honour these employees by taking time to nominate them.”

The online submission process is straightforward. Any member of our community can be a nominator. Visit the Web site at: http://www.workingatmcmaster.ca/topjugglers/ to review the program policy and submit an online nomination. Related inquiries can be directed to presidentsaward@mcmaster.ca.

A maximum of 10 established awards, including two work-group awards are offered. The nominees and award recipients are given a high profile through 20 posters located across campus and a detailed Web page: http://www.workingatmcmaster.ca/topjugglers/.

The last date for submission of completed nomination forms is Friday, March 18, 2005. The awards ceremony will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2005 in Convocation Hall.

Susan Mitchell from the 'Working at McMaster' unit of Human Resources Services said, “Last year, we received 44 nominations for worthy individuals and team members. We sincerely hope we can surpass that number this year.”

All submissions will be reviewed by a special advisory committee who make their recommendations to Peter George.
