One of 17 people arrested in the GTA and Kingston over the weekend on
terrorism charges was a McMaster graduate. A student in the Bachelor of Health Sciences program; he graduated this Spring.

McMaster president Peter George says, “We were all surprised by the raids and arrests. We're equally surprised and disappointed that one of the suspects is a McMaster graduate. There's been no indication from authorities that there will be any other McMaster connection or that we should be concerned about security and safety at the University.”
