Tentative agreement reached with CAW Local 555, Unit 1

McMaster and CAW Local 555, Unit 1 have reached a tentative collective agreement, subject to the ratification of the parties' respective principles, concluding their discussions early this morning.

Details of the contract will be made public once the contract is ratified. The union will be communicating the details of the ratification vote to its members.

CAW Local 555, Unit 1 represents 2200 administrative and technical support staff at the University. The previous collective agreement expired June 15, 2009 with the parties meeting approximately 25 times during the course of bargaining.
