“For students looking for summer positions, the fair will give them a head start on their job search without leaving campus,” says Kate Toth, events & marketing co-ordinator for Career Services. “It's important to remember that each position a student holds helps them build valuable transferable skills, which will ultimately prepare them for success in the career of their choice.”

Toth advises students to arrive at the fair with their resumes in hand. “Career Services is a great place to go to give that resume the tune-up it needs,” she says. “We offer resume writing workshops and provide one-on-one resume critiques, among a multitude of other services and resources.”

More than 30 employers from a wide variety of fields will be in the marketplace from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Some of the employers that will attend the fair include the City of Hamilton, the Ministry of the Environment, Hamilton Health Sciences and McMaster University.
