Students rank McMaster as one of Canada’s best

A new national survey finds McMaster students are highly satisfied with their experience on campus. Students cite the quality of education, campus atmosphere, advanced technology and high quality libraries and athletic facilities as key reasons why the University is one of the best in the country.
The annual survey was conducted by The Globe and Mail. More than 38,000 undergraduate students completed detailed questionnaires about 53 universities across Canada. McMaster is compared to other large universities with enrolment over 22,000 students.
McMaster is ranked as among the best in Canada for most satisfied students, quality of education, level of campus technology, quality of libraries, overall campus atmosphere and excellence of athletic facilities.
“The results reaffirm McMaster's position as one of Canada's leading universities,” says President Peter George. “These rankings indicate the hard work and dedication of students, faculty, and staff produce real results. Excellence in our classrooms, labs, libraries and on our playing fields continues to produce a vibrant campus atmosphere that students believe is important to creating a high quality educational experience.”

Earlier this month, McMaster continued to be ranked as one of the world's best universities, placing 143 on the 2009 Times Higher – QS World University Rankings.
