Students go door to door for annual Trick or Eat food drive

Trick or eats

Students went door to door last week as part of the Trick or Eat campaign, collecting non-perishable food and raising money and awareness about hunger in Canada.

McMaster students took to the streets in full costume last week, scaring up some much-needed donations of food and cash for the Trick or Eat food drive.

Trick or Eat is a national food collection and donation campaign that connects many communities in the fight against hunger. More than 6,000 students in 100 communities across the country get involved. All proceeds from the campaign go to local food banks and aid programs.

This year, students “trick or treated” in Westdale and Ainslie Wood and collected dried rice, pasta and pasta sauces, canned meats and fish, dry and canned soups, canned vegetables, peanut butter and even diapers.
