Staff members honoured at President’s Awards for Outstanding Service

Photo by Ron Scheffler.”]Members of the McMaster community, students, retirees, and employees were among the many who attended the President's Awards for Outstanding Service ceremony, held May 14 in Convocation Hall.
Established in 1997 to recognize employees who are neither faculty nor members of senior management for outstanding contributions to advancing the mission of the University, the President's Awards for Outstanding Service represent the highest honour the University can bestow upon its non- teaching employees.
“Today's nominees and award recipients have achieved the recognition of their peers and have helped make McMaster the quality institution that it is,” said Peter George, President of McMaster University. “They are very much part of the reason McMaster ranks among the finest Universities in the world.”

The Special Achievement Award was also given to Tami Everding, program administrator at the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine Undergraduate Medical Program.
