SSHRC awards Mac researchers $3.6 million in grants

Thirty McMaster researchers have been awarded more than $3.6 million in federal funding from the Social Science and Humanities Research Council.


Thirty McMaster research projects, from five faculties and a broad range of disciplines, have received federal funding amounting to more than $3.6 million from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.

SSHRC awarded 16 McMaster researchers a total of $2.17 million in Insight Grants, which support excellence in research that addresses complex issues pertaining to individuals and societies. They are

Five researchers are receiving a total of $948,488 in Partnership Development Grants, which support new or existing research partnerships. They are:

Nine emerging researchers received $487,579 in Insight Development Grants, which support research in its initial stages, or the work of those who wish to explore new research questions, methods or approaches. They are:
