Students will write more than 80,000 exams in more than 700 courses during the exam period, which runs until April 30.

Those writing exams are reminded to bring their student card to the examination area.

More than 3,000 students will move out of McMaster residences between April 12 and April 30, with the highest concentration departing between April 27 and May 1.

University staff who park in Lot E and Lot G will find these areas particularly congested. Lot F will be closed to permit holders and visitors during the move-out period.

Staff will be granted access to the underground stadium parking, and are strongly encouraged to park in the underground lot — especially during peak move-out dates.

Move-out attendants wearing safety vests will be working in the area to ensure each move is smooth and efficient.

The City of Hamilton now offers call-ahead bulk item collection. Student-residents moving out of off-campus housing can call the City at 905-546-2489 at least one week ahead of their regular garbage pickup date to have up to four large items collected.

For those in need of a break, McMaster’s Residence Life Office has partnered with St. John Ambulance and the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA to offers students in residence the chance to de-stress through play with therapy dogs. The Chaplaincy Centre will also offer free cookies and hot drinks each night (except Saturdays) between 5:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. in MUSC 230.

The hours of operation for the Library and the David Braley Athletic Centre will change during the exam period. Mill Learning Commons and Thode Library will be on a 24-hour schedule until April 29, and the Athletic Centre hours will be: 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 6 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
