SOTA concert series presents pianist James McGowan

Photo courtesy of SOTA.”]Pianist and assistant professor James McGowan will perform a concert featuring classical and jazz music on Tuesday, Jan. 16 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in University Hall, Room 213 (Convocation Hall). Presented by the School of the Arts (SOTA), the concert is part of SOTA's Free Lunchtime Concert Series.
In addition to teaching at McMaster, McGowan is also a pianist, music theorist, composer and choral conductor. He has performed in many solo and collaborative recitals in Canada, Sweden and the United States. He will perform an eclectic mix of preludes and improvisations in a variety of classical and jazz styles.

Preludes, Op. 28 (1839)
Preludes (1992) by Bill Dobbins
Prelude to a Kiss by Duke Ellington
