Some McMaster technology systems unavailable on Monday

Some university technology systems will be unavailable Monday due to an IT security incident. McMaster IT teams have been working since the first problem was identified Sunday evening. The situation continues to unfold but there is a possibility that additional network/connectivity could be impacted and there may not be advance notice of system shutdowns.

Most university activities will continue but people may find they don’t have access to their usual information and systems.  Regular access to email and calendars should be available.  It is advisable that areas make sure that they have updated contact information for employees including personal email addresses and phone numbers should university communication systems be impacted.  The University’s Facebook  and Twitter sites will continue to be updated as additional information is available.
