Social Sciences graduates today

Students in the Faculty of Social Sciences will be conferred degrees today in two ceremonies to be held in downtown Hamilton.
The convocations, scheduled for 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. in the Great Hall at Hamilton Place, will also see honorary degrees confererred upon Kevin Lynch, former head of the Privy Council, Paul McPherson, president, Valcom Manufacturing, Don Tapscott, Chairman, nGenera Insight and Walter Oster, CEO of the Canadian National Sportsman Show. All will receive a Doctor of Laws degree. Lynch and Tapscott will address their respective convocations.
Approximately 4,600 students will receive degrees from McMaster this spring. Honorary degree recipients are recognized for their contributions in such areas as public service, education and scholarship, creative and performing arts, and for their work within the McMaster community.
