‘Skate with the Dean’ brings grad students to Hamilton’s waterfront
McMaster graduate students and their families descended upon Pier 8 on Wednesday evening for a little outdoor fun at the Hamilton Waterfront Outdoor Rink.
Despite the chilly temperature on Wednesday evening, graduate students and their families had a fantastic time at the Hamilton Waterfront Outdoor Rink during the second-annual Skate with the Dean event.
Allison Sekuler, associate vice-president and dean, Graduate Studies, was on hand for the meet-and-greet, and tweeted that it was “wonderful seeing such huge smiles on graduate students’ and their children’s faces.”
Thanks to the McMaster figure skating club, even those with little or no experience received a skating lesson, words of encouragement and a helping hand.
