Rosemary Radford Ruether to give lecture on eco-feminist theology

File photo. “]Eco-feminist theologian Dr. Rosemary Radford Ruether will give two lectures at McMaster on Monday, Feb. 12 and Tuesday, Feb. 13.

The author of 40 books, the recipient of a dozen honorary doctorates, and lecturer in more than 20 countries, Ruether is widely known for her classic works on feminist theology, the greening of world religions, and her trenchant commentary on public affairs.

Ruether's visit is jointly sponsored at McMaster by Women's Studies, Peace Studies, and the McMaster Campus Ministries Council (MCMC) with additional support from the offices of the President and the Provost, the Departments of History and Religious Studies, the Institute on Globalization, OPIRG, and the Anti-Violence Network.

Ruether will give a lecture on Eco-Feminist Theology and Ethics: A Comparative Approach on Monday, Feb. 12 at 3:30 p.m. at the McMaster University Student Centre, CIBC Banquet Hall.

Her lecture on American Empire and the War Against Evil will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the McMaster Health Sciences Centre, Room 1A1.
