Consisting of three tenors and an accompanying instrumental trio, this ensemble specializes in well-beloved works from the operatic, choral, popular, and folk repertoire.

Vocalists Frederik Robert, Ken Lavigne, and Phillip Grant have voices that blend well yet maintain distinctive, individual qualities: Robert's voice soars to the top tones; Lavigne's voice resonates the most dramatically; and Grant's voice has a penetrating sound.

The accompanying trio, featuring piano, concert bass, and violin, provides a warm and intimate backdrop to the tenors' clear voices.

In addition to appearing across the country, Romanza has performed on CBC Radio2, A Channel, and CFAX.

Each of the tenors has an extensive background singing in opera or with symphonies.

Their dazzling technique, however, doesn't prevent them from having a little fun on stage. The ensemble strives to make classical music more accessible to everyone, and has gained a lively reputation through the vocalists' fun-loving, playful performances.

Wrapped in ivy, spacious, and acoustically warm, McMaster University's Convocation Hall is once again the setting for the star-studded Celebrity Concert Series, a Hamilton tradition since 1972. This year's series of eight concerts of unforgettable music offers delights for every taste.
