Remembrance Day service on Sunday

Some may wear a poppy as a sign of respect for those who lost their lives in the fight for freedom, while others wear poppies as a symbol of remembrance so they may never forget the loss of life. Remembrance Day ceremonies will take place around the world on Sunday, Nov. 11.

The Office of Alumni Advancement would like to invite all students, faculty and staff to a special McMaster University Remembrance Day Ceremony on Sunday, Nov. 11 from 10:45 to 11:15 a.m. in University Hall, Convocation Hall, Room 213.

Please join us to honour those members of McMaster University who gave their lives for us in WWI and WWII. Light refreshments will be provided following the ceremony outside Convocation Hall.

They shall not grow old, as we are left to grow old,

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn,

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,

We will remember them. We will remember them. – Laurence Binyon
