Not only have these awards become a highlight for non-teaching employees at the university, they demonstrate exemplary service, dedication, and hard work. And, they make a difference in the personal and professional lives of the recipients and nominees.
When people consistently go over and above the call of duty, or display a passion for the work that they do, most will think, “What a great job that person does,” but it is easy to forget about it as time passes.
Those people who have been nominators are to be commended. They have taken the time to recognize employees who make a difference at McMaster.
It takes at least three people to nominate one individual or a team — the nominator, plus a minimum of two supporting references. More than 2,000 members of the McMaster community have been involved in nominating employees since the inception of these awards in 1997.
Nominations are currently being accepted for individuals and teams who have demonstrated an outstanding work ethic through the following characteristics:
For tips on how to get started with a nomination, please read these tips. The nominators are also encouraged to have their package peer-reviewed before submission to ensure the best possible case for each nominee.
The nomination form can be found here.
Don't delay, become a nominator! The deadline for nominations is March 16, 2007.
