campus with its third annual powwow.

The event is a chance for McMaster students to learn more about indigenous culture and an
opportunity to introduce local First Nations high school students to post-secondary life.

“We're very excited to bring the powwow back this year,” said Ally Stoett, president of the
MFSNA. “It's a great way for people to connect with First Nations culture. We really encourage
students to have fun and participate in some of the dance performances.”

The powwow is open to all members of the community and will take place Friday, September
30 outside the John Hodgins Engineering building. It will feature dance performances by
students and singers in the local community, traditional cuisine and speeches from members
of the University's Indigenous Studies Program.
