Pictured from left, David Clusiau, principal architectural designer of Norr Limited, Tony Cupido, director of Physical Plant at McMaster and Niky Melichar, administrator in the Office of the Dean and Vice-President, Faculty of Health Sciences, display a rendering of an addition to the facility.

Details, construction timelines and the approved design of the expansion of the facility were presented.

The building will be located in the area between Wentworth House and the McMaster University Medical Centre. The multi-storey building will be approximately 300,000-sq. ft. and will house lecture halls, classrooms, hospital facilities, the Institute for Molecular Medicine and Health and incubator space.

The project — the largest in 30 years on campus — is tentatively scheduled to commence Oct. 15, 2002 and will be completed in the summer of 2004. Site preparation has already begun.
