A number of places of worship in the Hamilton area have been vandalized in the past week.

The fire at the Hindu Samaj Temple has caused the
most severe damage and although the temple has insurance, it is not adequate to cover the expenses of rebuilding.

In response to this loss, the McMaster Campus Ministries Council (MCMC), the ecumenical chaplaincy on campus, is sponsoring a fund-raising effort.

Donations of $10 or more will be acknowledged with an income tax receipt. Any amount will be most appreciated.

Cheques designated for “Hindu Samaj Temple” can be made payable to: MCMC and either mailed or dropped off to: The Chaplaincy Centre, Wentworth House, Room 108. Cash donations can be delivered to the Chaplaincy Centre or placed in cans that will distributed around campus.
