The McMaster Students Union (MSU) is holding a vigil for peace on Tuesday Sept. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Nina de Villiers Garden (the oval garden in front of University Hall and Gilmour Hall).

MSU president Sam Minniti said everyone is encouraged to feel free to come out and join the McMaster community and take time to reflect and remember those affected by last week's acts of terrorism.

At this candlelight vigil, a
representative from each of the different faith groups on campus will
speak for a minute or so about reactions to the recent tragic events.
This will be followed by a candlelight vigil and a moment of silence.
The purpose of this is to bring the community together, regardless of
religious or ethnic background, and to acknowledge that this has
affected everyone. It is also a time to express compassion and grief for those who have suffered.

For further information, contact Minniti via e-mail at msupres@msu.mcmaster.ca, by telephone at ext. 23885 or in person at Hamilton Hall Room 406.
