There is no better time than the present to start or continue building a better you!

The Pulse is pleased to offer a great way to get in shape, stay in shape, and most of all, have fun.

Boomers with Beat is a results-oriented group fitness class designed to provide you with a cardiovascular workout, muscle strengthening and flexibility. The class is offered in the aerobics studio of the Ivor Wynne Centre on Monday mornings from 7 a.m. to 7:50 a.m. The fee is $30 for members and $35 for non-members.

Led by McMaster's own Amy Kszyston (alumni advancement officer and fitness instructor extraordinaire), you will be able to get a great workout in less than an hour. Once a week, challenge your co-workers, friends and most of all – yourself – to this group fitness class.

The benefits associated with a healthy lifestyle have been proven time and time again. Numerous reports show that you can improve your health and quality of life by including moderate amounts of physical activity into your daily life. Physical activity has positive effects on your bones, heart, lungs and many other physiological components. Regular participation in physical activity appears to reduce depression and anxiety, improve mood and enhance your ability to perform daily tasks throughout your lifespan.
