Posted on Oct. 1: Marauders split with Lions to secure second place

With a 2-1 defeat of the York Lions in game one of a doubleheader Tuesday night, the McMaster Marauder baseball team secured a
second place finish in the OUA standings.

Rookie pitcher Justin Chopra pitched a complete game allowing only one earned run on five hits while striking out six. York won the second game of the double header, 1-0. McMaster will now host games one and two of the OUA semifinal series against the to be determined third place team on Saturday, Oct. 4 at Bernie Arbour Stadium. Game times are 1 and 3 p.m.

The Marauders finish their regular season the evening of Wednesday, Oct. 1 when they travel to Jack Couch Park in Kitchener for a makeup doubleheader with the Laurier Golden Hawks. The doubleheader gets underway at 5:30 p.m.
