Mark your date books to come out and cheer this Friday. The 2000 National University Cheerleading Championships are being held on campus and McMaster's cheerleaders will be among those contending.

Sixteen of the best teams in the country will be here to compete for the national title.
The competition takes place in the Burridge Gym in the Ivor Wynne
Centre. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the competition begins at 7:30 p.m. (Tickets will be available at the door for $6.)

The team from McMaster, which placed third last year, will be a top contender again this season.

The competition format is as follows: each team will perform their
