Posted on March 3: Wrestling team to compete in CIS national championship

The McMaster wrestling team will compete in the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) Wrestling Championship this weekend at Brock University.

Fourth-year student-athlete Pam Wilson will look to earn her third CIS championship (80 kg) and second consecutive title at McMaster. Wilson recently won her fourth consecutive Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Championship.

Other medal hopefuls for McMaster include OUA gold medal winners
Stefanie Howorun at 70 kg, and Ellen Macro at 61 kg.

Highly Touted freshman Sheldon Francis, after having claimed his first OUA gold medal, will look for his first taste of a CIS
championship.

Other medal hopefuls include OUA gold medallist Josiah Boyd at 61 kg and OUA bronze medallist James Byers at 82 kg.
