The McMaster Chamber Orchestra will present “Music of the Masters” on Sunday, March 7 at 3 p.m. in Convocation Hall at McMaster University, under the direction of Gregory Burton.

The program, consisting of works by J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart and L. Van Beethoven, was chosen by Burton to highlight the creations of these composers, and to demonstrate the musical progression from the mature concertos of Bach to the symphonic form of Beethoven.

Burton is a leading Canadian conductor. He is former resident conductor of Symphony Nova Scotia, and regularly conducts Symphony New Brunswick as well as many university ensembles and youth orchestras.

Tickets for the concert are $10 and are available from the School of the Arts Box Office at 905-525-9140 ext. 23333, or at the door of Convocation Hall the day of the performance.
