In conjunction with the McMaster Students Union's Annual General Meeting, the MSU will be hosting an open forum to provide information about the strike to students.

A brief annual general meeting will be held in accordance to MSU by-laws on Tuesday, March 20 at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chamber, Gilmour Hall. The information session will be held immediately following. Students are encouraged to arrive by 5:30 p.m.

The MUSA executive and the University administration have both confirmed they are planning on sending representatives to answer questions about the strike.

“We ultimately hope that the strike will be resolved by next week, but if it is not this will give students the opportunity to find out about the issues surrounding the strike first-hand,” says Marc Marzotto, MSU president. “I appreciate all parties support for this information session. It will give students a chance to ask about any possible academic implications of the strike.”

The Student Representative Assembly voted on March 4 to remain a neutral party during the strike.

McMaster Students Union employees are not members of MUSA and therefore all services are open for normal hours of operation. MSU services include the Downstairs John, the MSU Info Centre, the MSU Design & Copy Centre, the Student Walk Home Attendant Team (SWHAT), the Student Health Education Centre (SHEC), the Mac Snack Shack, the MSU main office and the Campus Cove games room.
