Five McMaster professors are among the 218 experts named to
advisory boards for the Canadian Institutes of Health Research's
13 virtual institutes.


The volunteer representatives, selected from Canada and
abroad, reflect a broad range of expertise and experience. Their
mandate is to provide advice to the scientific directors of the
virtual institutes. The McMaster experts and the institutes they will
be affiliated with are:

7 Paul O'Byrne, professor of medicine: Institute of Circulatory and
Respiratory Health

7 Dan Offord, director of the Centre for the Study of Children at
Risk: Institute of Human Development and Child/Youth Health

7 Jack Gauldie, professor and chair of the department of
pathology and molecular medicine: Institute of Infection and
Immunity

7 Jeremiah Hurley, professor of economics:
Institute of Health Services and Policy Research

7 Salim Yusuf, director of division of cardiology and professor of
medicine:
Institute of Circulatory and Respiratory Health
