The Arthur Bourns building is back to normal after being closed for a
few hours last night (Tuesday) after security noticed an odor inside.

The electricity in ABB had been shut down for scheduled maintenance and fume hoods are not operational during such a shut down. As of last night, the cause of the odor had not been determined but it's believed it may have been connected to a fume hood in a lab.

When security noticed the odor, it evacuated the building and called
911. No one was injured and the building was operational within a few
hours. The investigation into the cause of the odor will continue
today.
